You are here because it is time. Time for change. You can feel it. You know that you have more to offer and you can no longer avoid the discomfort of change. You so clearly see some of the challenges in your world. And quite frankly, the years of education you already have aren’t really cutting it. You need to be challenged, refined, and given an opportunity to do something great.

Civic Biodesign isn’t a profession or an industry. It isn’t an answer or even a question. It is an approach. It believes that most things are infinitely more complex than we initially realized but that there are patterns within. Patterns that have been known for millennia and patterns we are just noticing. It believes our world is done with the era of bandaids and is ready to move into spaces of healing and wellness. It believes that systems work differently at different scales. That individual health and community health and similar and distinctly unique. That they are interlinked and interdependent.

The journey we are offering you, the one described below, isn’t an easy one. It doesn’t expect you to go from beginning to end straight through. Nothing works that way. Life is a lot closer to free jazz at a jam session than it is a classical piece performed by a symphony.

Complete Level 1 Project

due 12/31/21

Details: Develop and complete your Civic Biodesign Level 1 Project.

Using the knowledge gained through all of the prior activities you will design and complete a project that creates the conditions for salutogenesis for the Level 1 Scale: You. This project will use the aid of subject matter experts and will be documented and submitted by year-end.

Time: 80 Hours

Cost: Whatever materials cost you incur.
